Skyward can assist customers with a variety of technical support and technology development solutions related to vehicle systems. Systems include aircraft, ground vehicles, and space systems. Areas of expertise include system and subsystem expertise (e.g., fuel, structure, propulsion, flight controls, hydraulics, avionics, munitions, etc.). Skyward supports system integration efforts for a variety of vehicle systems and support customers with certification compliance, particularly in areas such as fire protection and system safety and vulnerability. Skyward supports system sustainment, specializing in vehicle battle damage assessment and repair (Expedient Repair). Expertise also includes air vehicle performance issues.

Skyward also performs research & development, specializing in fire protection and instrumentation technology for test & evaluation. Skyward participates in the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program and in other opportunities to develop technology. One such development was Skyward’s patented Enhanced Powder Panel (EPP) fire protection device. Skyward’s Vehicle Systems Group also encompasses commercial efforts related to Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) or drones. Skyward’s first Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) 333 Exemption enables Skyward to assist customers with many issues related to natural resources, including land and water resource management. Skyward is currently performing capability demonstrations and developing partnerships to tackle many issues adversely affecting our nation’s natural resources. Other FAA 333 Exemptions will follow.
